Winter at the Open Air Museum
Have fun on a chair swing ride or caterpillar ride, be amazed by a flea circus and try your hand at a roll-a-ball derby. Or take to our covered roller-skating rink, see how clogs are made and wander around the Winter Market. The Dutch Open Air Museum
History can be viewed from many different angles. At the Dutch Open Air Museum we reflect these multiple perspectives. Here, besides buildings, objects and stories dating back as far as two hundred years, you will also come across reminders of your own childhood, allowing you to look back on ‘little’ moments from everyday life as well as major historical events.
This is a place where you can find out more about complex conflicts from our past, as well as simply enjoying a walk in our green surroundings.
